Are you encompassed by a legal pyramid?
The
pyramid
is a polygonal solid with a wide base and tapering to a point at the top, so all sides are triangles. The renowned Egyptian Pyramid of Giza is foursided and is square at the base. This is a stable structure. This latter attribute is apropos to organizational analogy, too. If a solid shape be round, and if such be wide at one end and it tapers evenly to a point, it is a cone. This tapered shape is applicable to trees in nature. The single feature of an organization to have analogy to the ascribed shape, is that, it be a hierarchy with more individuals at the base, or bottom, than are at the top. The above condition is extant throughout society. The average family operates as such, with mother or father at the headship, and, occassionally the two parents operate as a combined authority. The organized religions have a hierarchial structure. And, independent congregations have it, too. And, civic, state, and the federal governments are legal, and have such structure. Can you imagine a large country making every decision by plebiscite? Let me submit that illegal activities can and do occur within legal pyramids. What, though, is an illegal one? An illegal one is an organization without a marketable service or product, and with high rewards for recruiting and with product purchase required to remain agent qualified. In this process the profits from a large number of entrant recruits siphons to the few successful recruiters with a large organization. The defined borders between illegal and legal organizations can be fuzzy. So to, can be the activity within either one of these organizations. I infer that large commercial operations are legal and are akin to the geometric design of note. I expect that Ford and GM have more workers than chief executive officers, and, I expect the latter are better paid. I infer that Enron was a legal corporation, but it fell into disrepute, probably by the questionable behavior of a few officers at the the helm. It is apropo to discuss the marketing system that has brought the geometric shape of reference into disrepute. The multilevel marketing method of direct selling, also called network marketing, is to be discussed.
